I’ve never talked to anyone. I’m used to handling things on my own. Aren’t people who go to therapy weak?

Not at all. People who ask for help know when they need it and have the ability to reach out. Everyone needs help now and then. You already have some strengths that you’ve used before, that for whatever reason isn’t working right now. Perhaps this problem feels overwhelming and is making it difficult to access your past strengths. In our work together, we’ll help you identify what those strengths are and how to implement them again in what is happening now

Why shouldn’t I just take medication?

Medication alone cannot solve all issues. What medication does is treat the symptoms. Our work together is designed to explore the root of the issue, dig deep into your behavior and teach strategies that can help you accomplish your personal and/or relational goals.

What issues do you help with?

We support clients dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, cultural stress, and major life transitions. We specialize in helping people of color and women of color navigate emotional challenges in a validating space.

What can I expect from my first session?

Your first session will focus on getting to know you—your background, concerns, and goals. Afterwards, we will review everything to make sure your therapist will be the best fit for you in the long term.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes! We currently accept BCBS, Aetna, and Cigna. We also offer sliding scale options and can provide additional resources to support your financial needs. Reach out and we’ll help create a plan that works for you.

Is online therapy effective?

Absolutely. Our virtual sessions provide the same level of care and connection as in-person therapy, and many clients find it more accessible and convenient.
